what can be saved, and believe humanity’s only hope is resisting extinction.

Then a girl washes ashore... alive.

She belongs to the Flooded, a religious movement where members believe humanity must drown to give the planet a second chance, and so sacrifice themselves to the sea. For some unknown reason, the Flooded have been kidnapping people of the Parched tribes.

When the leader of Cole’s tribe asks him to question the girl, he learns things that turn his life upside down. Now, whispers of war ripple through the Parched villages, and leaders speak of wiping out the Flooded entirely.

With his world fractured and desperate for answers, Cole sets out alone across hostile territory toward the Flooded lands. What he finds there will force him to question everything he’s ever known.

What if humanity can’t be saved?

What if the Flooded aren’t a dangerous cult? What if survival isn’t the same as salvation?

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT WE, THE DROWNING

"In this novella that made me nostalgic for the best parts of the dystopia boom of the 2010s, Lindz McLeod weaves an achingly human story of a young man who seeks to understand his deceased mother—and the cult she abandoned him to die for. We, the Drowning is a heartfelt examination of the complicated legacies our mothers leave us, all the while asking us what good we’ll do to correct our ancestors’ mistakes."

—S.M. Hallow, author of "How to Stay Married to Baba Yaga"

"Compelling and heartfelt in equal measure, in We, The Drowning McLeod skillfully weaves a poignant tale that grapples with the complexities of climate grief, community division and kinship, and our connection with the natural world. Tinged with hope and beauty, this is a stunning allegoric read that will keep you thinking long after putting it down."

In a world that sits at the nexus of Gods and monsters, science and magic, the aftermath of a war has decimated the "First Gods," and the remnants of humanity try to pick up the pieces. But when conflict arises again, a found family of monsters, demi-gods, scientists and magicians will come together to try to save what they love and bring a new magic to their dying world.

Iris has chafed at a life spent in the service of the Archmagus, the man who rescued her as a child and the only father she has ever known. But when she meets a charming thief while carrying out one of the Archmagus' many searches for magikal artefacts, she realises it will not be enough for her to simply escape the Citadel and her acerbic adopted family of the Aello, its winged guardians. The Archmagus has lied to her about her past, and the truth she finds will lead her to make a choice. Stay on the path she'd imagined for herself as an unwilling member of a family of monsters--or follow the consequences of her unbearable truth to the unexpected.

Destined to be a

Classic of Indigenous Futurism

As Many Ships As Stars is a sci-fi retelling of one of the stories about how the Numunu (Comanche) acquired horses.

In a future where Earth is ravaged by the greed of the wealthy, one woman's desperate act of defiance becomes a journey of transformation and decolonization.

Leia Wurahapt, a resolute Numunu woman, struggles to support her extended family in near-future Albuquerque. As head of a large household, she balances the weight of her ancestors' wisdom with the harsh realities of a world teetering on the edge of collapse. Working for a private corporation that exploits public resources, Leia finds herself helping construct escape ships bound for Mars, a last resort for the world's elite to flee their self-inflicted crisis.

But Leia has other plans.

Fueled by a fierce determination to protect her loved ones and reject the colonial structures that have oppressed her people for centuries, Leia and her former sister-in-law, Olga, hijack one of the ships. With their family and friends in tow, they embark on a voyage to the stars aboard The Futura, leaving Earth behind forever.

What follows is an epic, multigenerational tale of survival, resilience, and rebirth spanning 30,000 years. As Many Ships As Stars invites readers to reimagine progress through traditional ways. Weyodi OldBear weaves a visionary narrative that is both a tribute to her heritage and a bold vision for the future.
