Android Editors

The following android punks are independent editors who find authors with works they're passionate about and guide them through to publication with Android Press. This crew puts a lot of time, love, and care into curating stories and working with authors to develop and prepare the work we publish. Editors are listed alphabetically by last name.

Christina Brown (she/her), Editor

Christina is an editor, writing coach, and psychology nerd from Chicago who loves all forms of speculative fiction. In the literacy nonprofit world, she spent eight years selling books, donating books, and helping dozens of teen writers publish their first books. She blogs about the art and science of creative writing at http://plotbunny.net.

MacKenzie River Foy (she/they), Editor

MacKenzie is an Afrofuturist, cultural organizer, and foodie currently living on Piscataway land in Baltimore, MD. She has been pulling stories into strategy, action, and print for nearly a decade. MacKenzie has hand a hand in producing and directing zines, films, music videos, performances, and campaigns with organizations like Jobs With Justice, the Center for Story-based Strategy, the Laura Coates Show on SiriusXM, Arena Theatre in Washington, DC, Market Road Films, and the Public Theatre in NYC, amongst other media partners. Today, she writes and produces content for Jobs With Justice Education Fund and is the founding Creative Director of culinary fiction magazine, Village X. The projects in her portfolio reflect a range of curations, writings, and visual expressions exploring sovereignty, Black women's labor, culinary history,

Robin Rose Graves (she/her), Editor

Robin Rose Graves is a scifi fan first and a human being second. Her writings have appeared in Star*Line Magazine, Simultaneous Times Podcast and West Coast Weird Magazine. In her spare time, she raves about her recent reads on her BookTube channel, The Book Wormhole, and is a frequent contributor for the Galactic Journey.

J.D. Harlock (he/him), Editor

J.D. is a Lebanese writer based in Beirut and the poetry co-editor for Solarpunk Magazine. His short stories have been featured in The Deadlands, Sciencefictionary, Defenestration, Wyldblood Press, and the Decoded Pride Anthology, his poetry has been featured in Penumbric, Mobius and Black Cat Magazine, and his articles/reviews have been featured in NewMyths.com, Mermaids Monthly, Interstellar Flight Press, and on the SFWA Blog.

Somto Ihezue (he/him), Editor

Somto is an Igbo writer, filmmaker, and editor based in Lagos, Nigeria. His works have appeared and are forthcoming in Tordotcom, Fireside Magazine, Cossmass Infinities, OnSpec Magazine, Flash Fiction Online, Omenana Magazine, and elsewhere. He lives with his sister, their dog, and their cats, Ify and Salem. He is also an associate editor at Cast of Wonders and Jembefola Press. Coral Alejandra Moore (she/her), Editor

Coral Moore has always been the kind of girl who makes up stories. Fortunately, she never grew out of that. She writes character driven fiction, and enjoys conversations about genetics and microbiology as much as those about vampires and werewolves. She has an MFA in Writing from Albertus Magnus College and is an alum of Viable Paradise XVII. She has been published by Lightspeed Magazine, Diabolical Plots, and Mermaids Monthly. She loves aquariums, rides a motorcycle, and thinks there is little better than a good cup of coffee. In her most recent venture she is the co-editor and co-publisher of Constelación Magazine, a bilingual speculative fiction magazine publishing stories in Spanish and English. Justine Norton-Kertson (she/they), Publisher & Editor-in-Chief

Justine is an author, musician, educator, and co-Editor-in-Chief of Solarpunk Magazine in addition to Android Press. They're the creative and musical force behind the antifascist neofolk project, Ashera, and she's currently composing and recording a solarpunk album. Their debut nonfiction work, Solarpunk Witchcraft: A Solarpunk Book of Shadows, is forthcoming in 2024 from Microcosm Publishing. They have a degree in history from the University of California, and are a former high school history, political science, and economic teacher. Leon Perniciaro (he/him), Editor

Leon is a writer, editor, translator, and part-time university professor, teaching courses in game design. He is the editor of Haven Spec Magazine and the fiction editor of Utopia Science Fiction Magazine. He is also a member of The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America and the Codex Writers' Group.
